This presentation explores the remarkable life of Winston Churchill, one of the most influential figures of the 20th Century. From his early years in the British Army to his leadership during World War II, Churchill’s resilience, eloquence, and strategic mind helped shape the course of history.
The Empire and Churchill: As a member of the aristocratic class, Churchill would be most apt to enter a life of political service like his father Lord Randolph Churchill, or a life of military service. Initially he chose a military life attending Sandhurst Military Academy, yet he also remained very interested in politics. His travels throughout the British Empire, especially to South Africa during the Boer War, made him a household name in Britain by the early 20th Century.
