This past weekend, we were graced by the incredible talents of singer-songwriter Peter Mayer in a series of meaningful events that resonated deeply with the Trinity Senior Services (TSS) family. Peter’s connection to TSS is a deeply personal one as our CEO, Dave Fulcher, and Peter have been lifelong friends since their time in the Jesuit novitiate. Peter’s music, with its focus on the dignity of the human person and the wonder of creation, perfectly complements the mission of TSS and the Catholic Ecology Center. His performance brought together our shared values, community spirit, and appreciation for the beauty of life.
Saturday, September 21st:
The weekend kicked off at the Catholic Ecology Center (CEC), where attendees enjoyed tours, appetizers, and drinks before Peter Mayer’s live concert. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, Mayer’s music aligned with the CEC’s mission of honoring creation. His songs, often reflecting awe for the world around us, struck a chord with the audience as they relaxed in the serene space. The evening was a perfect celebration of the partnership between Trinity Senior Services A Life Engaged Programming for coordinating the musical performance, Clare Gardens for providing produce for some of the appetizers and the Catholic Ecology Center for a great space to bring us all together!
Sunday, September 22nd:
Peter continued his musical journey at the Milwaukee Catholic Home during our Sunday Spirit Series. In a storyteller format, Mayer chose special songs, sharing the moving stories behind them in the intimate setting of St. Anne’s Chapel. This unique event was a chance for attendees to experience the deeper meanings and personal reflections that inspire his music. Later that evening, Mayer brought the Sunday Spirit Series to Trinity Woods with over 70 attendees, offering a similar performance, free and open to the public. The engaging blend of music and storytelling created a sense of unity and spirituality for everyone involved.
The weekend was so inspiring to us at Trinity Senior Services as it perfectly highlighted the special partnership and collaboration within the programming, communities and properties that TSS manages. From being able to bring musical performances to three areas in Southeast Wisconsin at the Catholic Ecology Center, Milwaukee Catholic Home and Trinity Woods through our A Life Engaged® programing to using local food from our farm Clare Gardens for food at the events, all to serve our valued residents and members of the TSS family. The weekend’s events were a true reflection of how music, nature, and community come together in harmony to celebrate life and the awe of creation.
