Our memory care services enrich the lives of our residents, families, staff and the surrounding community. Each day we provide opportunities for personal growth, meaningful contributions and a sense of belonging.
Everyday Amazing is our approach to memory care services. This includes the education of our staff and community and supporting those affected by or living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Everyday Amazing is a whole-person, evidence-based and research-driven way of delivering outstanding care.
Our dedicated and highly trained multidisciplinary team uses years of experience and connections with brain health experts to help our community nurture a purposeful and vibrant way of living. Working in partnership with our distinctive program, A Life Engaged®, we strive to ensure all of our residents live fulfilled lives.
Therapeutic Interventions
We offer the following therapeutic interventions: Art Therapy, Music Therapy, and Recreation Therapy. These interventions improve cognitive and sensorimotor functions while fostering self-esteem and self-awareness.
Intergenerational Programming
One of the most significant parts of our experiential culture is our emphasis on intergenerational connection. In partnership with various local day cares, grade schools, high schools, universities, and volunteers of all ages, we develop and foster understanding and mutual enrichment across the generations.
Specialized Staff Education
We believe that our staff and community volunteers that touch our residents’ lives are to be properly trained and educated to meet the needs during all stages of dementia. Our unique training is conducted by Dementia Specialists who focus on developing person-centered strategies to ensure that our services are tailored to each individual.
At both Milwaukee Catholic Home and Trinity Woods, residents live A Life Engaged. A Life Engaged is senior living programming focused on three goals:
A Life Engaged enables a person a personal sense of purpose and belonging no matter where you are in your life’s journey. Together, a Life Engaged programing and Everyday Amazing have a strong focus on the cognitive health component to ensure that our residents with memory care needs are still living life to it’s fullest.
