Catholic Ecology Center-Foraging for Spring Edibles

May 10 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Join our executive director Joe Meyer as you forage throughout the CEC ecosystems looking and collecting Spring wild edibles. Learn the natural history and identification of plants and fungus that can add flavor, nutrition, and interest to our plates. We will then take the bounty we have collected and bring it back to the CEC kitchen where you’ll learn the techniques and tips for making some amazing wild edible meals.

Fun for all ages and families welcome (children 5 and under are free)

No experience required

About the Instructor: Joe Meyer, founder of the Catholic Ecology Center, has worked in National Parks and environmental institutes across the country. He is a wild edibles aficionado and enjoys helping others experience the beauty and bounty of creation!
