Creativity and innovation will take center stage at the CREO: Urban Oasis Student Fashion Show, happening on Friday, May 9 at Mount Mary University at 1, 5 and 7:30 p.m. in the Alumnae Dining Room of Bergstrom Hall on the Mount Mary Campus.
This year’s event combines organic and industrial inspiration into cutting-edge creations. Highlights include experimental “zero-waste” and collaborative projects with Wisconsin Sea Grant, an organization dedicated to eliminating plastic waste from waterways.
The show will also feature winners of the annual Uniquely Yours contest, which challenges high school students to creatively “upcycle” materials into runway-ready garments.
*CREO: Our annual celebration of the arts. Latin for “to make, create, produce,” CREO is an annual celebration from Mount Mary University’s School of Arts & Design showcasing student work from fashion, studio art, graphic design, interior design and art therapy that culminated in a student-run fashion show.
