This lecture shifts focus to the growing antiwar movement in the United States and the shifting strategies of the Nixon administration. It examines protests, draft resistance, media coverage, and events such as the My Lai massacre and the Kent State shootings. Students will analyze Nixon’s policy of Vietnamization, which sought to transfer combat responsibilities to South Vietnamese forces while expanding the war into Cambodia and Laos.
