December Donor Spotlight

Donor Spotlight

When Joan Lucke moved to Milwaukee Catholic Home eight years ago, she was greeted with a phrase that immediately resonated with her: “Kindness is spoken here.”

“I have found that to be very true,” Joan says. “In every sense, and from every person and staff member.”

Since making Milwaukee Catholic Home her home, Joan has become one of our most engaged and supportive residents—sharing her gratitude for the community she loves.

“I am very grateful for the consistent, exceptional quality of life I experience here,” she reflects. “The staff is amazing, and they never say ‘no’—they always find a way to help you. The programs, concerts, speakers, and parties are wonderful. My family tells me Milwaukee Catholic Home is the gold standard in senior living. They are so grateful I’m here because they know I’m safe, happy, and healthy.”

Joan has seen firsthand how dedicated the staff are to the mission. “The outstanding service and attention to everyone’s needs and interests, including during difficult times, is remarkable and can always be counted on,” she says. “Everyone is committed to the mission—this is more than just a job. It’s a ministry and a purpose and you can feel that. I appreciate that!”

For Joan, supporting Milwaukee Catholic Home is simply an expression of her gratitude and belonging. “I live here—this is my home—and I’m happy to support the mission so future generations can call this their home as well.”
