🍁 Join us for our Fall Getaway trip! 🍂
Summer is heating up, and there’s plenty of activity happening both at Clare Gardens and across our campuses! From exciting production building updates and opportunities to ways residents can experience the joy of our farm right on campus, there’s so much to celebrate. Read more below!
At Trinity Senior Services, we’re investing in the future of Clare Gardens with a new production building designed to expand year-round growing, improve operational efficiency, and create more opportunities for residents, volunteers, and the community to connect.
Construction is underway! We officially broke ground on our production building and are putting in forms and plumbing. We’re excited to watch this vision take shape and look forward to the many ways this space will support Clare Gardens for years to come.
This new space will help us:
🥬 Grow fresh greens throughout the year
🤝 Expand resident engagement through accessible gardening, workshops, and intergenerational experiences
🚜 Improve harvesting, washing, and food distribution to increase quality and efficiency
💚 Create a welcoming hub for volunteers, education, and wellness programming

Thank you to the generous donors and partners who have already helped bring this vision to life. Your support makes it possible to grow more fresh food, create meaningful experiences, and strengthen the connections that make Clare Gardens a place where our community can thrive.

At Trinity Senior Services, the connection to Clare Gardens goes far beyond a visit to the farm. Residents don’t have to travel to experience the joy of gardening, learn about sustainable agriculture, or get their hands in the soil. Across our campuses, residents have opportunities to grow plants, explore nature, and continue developing their connection to the environment.
Residents can even bring a piece of Clare Gardens home through our annual seedling sale, selecting their own plants to nurture in the comfort of their own living space. Whether it’s growing fresh herbs, tending flowers, or caring for vegetables, these experiences allow residents to enjoy the rewards of gardening wherever they call home.
View our Family Resources page for more exact dates and times on these immersive experiences.
Residents at Milwaukee Catholic Home can utilize outdoor raised garden beds to grow and nurture their own plants. These gardens allow residents to choose what they want to grow and take an active role in caring for their plants. Many enjoy bringing their harvest into their own kitchens, preparing meals with ingredients they have grown themselves and experiencing the joy of watching their garden flourish.
As part of our A Life Engaged Programming® (ALE), residents in the Health Care Center can continue their passion for gardening and expand their plant knowledge through Garden Club, led by a dedicated volunteer. Through hands-on activities like potting, watering, and weeding, residents have the opportunity to learn about the plant life cycle, build new skills, and enjoy the outdoors with gentle assistance.
Garden Club meets every Thursday at 10 a.m. in the courtyard. Families are welcome to join their loved ones and share in the experience!

Trinity Woods residents can bring gardening into their everyday lives with private balconies just steps away from their kitchens. These spaces provide the perfect opportunity to grow flowers, herbs, and plants while enjoying the beauty and satisfaction of tending a garden at home.
Located on the east side of Trinity Woods, the Sofia Courtyard offers residents additional opportunities to connect with nature through raised garden beds and a beautiful butterfly garden managed by resident Carrol, a Friends of the Monarch volunteer. Filled with milkweed and other native host plants, the butterfly garden provides an ideal habitat for monarchs and other butterfly species to thrive. It also creates a welcoming space for residents to observe nature’s incredible cycles and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the outdoors.
