January 8: The Origins of the Cold War
World War II took the lives of 62 million people, making it the single most destructive event in human history. The world hoped for less conflict in the years that followed, but unfortunately the bright vision of the postwar era faded rapidly with the onset of the Cold War. In part one, we will trace the origins of the Soviet-American conflict back to the Yalta Conference in World War II and beyond.
